Brayden turns 3!

I can't hardly believe he is 3 already! Here are a few pics of his party.

I usually try to make his cakes each year. This year he wanted Spiderman so this is what I came up with. Not too bad for an amateur.

He wore those spiderman PJ's that very night! He loved them.

Make sure to watch the video until the end. This guitar was by far his most favorite gift ever! He walks around the house with it most of the time. Look at his face in the beginning of the video he's got guitar face goin on. It is too hilarious!!

All in all he had an awesome birthday. Thanks to all who came to celebrate with us! I am signing off for now and based on my record of posting it may be November before I post again. LOL

Until then.....The Hanson's

Pics of my Grandson Dakota

Uncle Brayden's first reaction to his new nephew

The outfit above is the outfit Christopher wore home from the hospital nearly 22 years ago.

It's amazing how quick they grow up! These are a few snapshots of Dakota from moments after his birth to Easter. He is now 31/2 months old. Man does time fly by.

Stuff.....

It would seem that I am always playing catch up on this blog. Here I am again trying to play catch up. Things that have happened since I last blogged in November....Well there was Thanksgiving. We have so many things to be thankful for too! My mom and John moved back to Oklahoma from Florida. We remodeled the house before they got here.....that was fun! Then there was Christmas. One thing I can say about that is....it is so nice being home with family through the holiday season. I truly missed that living in Florida. I had my mom and John but missed everyone else. That pretty much ended my year....here comes 2009!

In January.....the 14th to be excact I became the proud Grandma to Dakota Michael Lambert. He is so cute. His Uncle Brayden thinks he is pretty cool too! We have thoroughly enjoyed having Dakota around. I can't explain the joy of having a Grandbaby.

The end of January Courtnie decided to up and move to Virgina. My heart BROKE! She is pregnant with my Granddaughter Angela Renee! As a mom you want to be there for your daughter during pregnancy to watch her little belly grow as she becomes further along in her pregnancy. Touch her tummy and feel the baby moving around inside of her. I long for those moments with her. Not to mention missing the labor and delivery process, I am so sad about missing that. Not being able to see my Granddaughter come into this world saddens me deeply! I miss Courtnie a lot and pray for her daily. She's in a growing season of life. My little girl is growing up real fast thanks to real life circumstances.

My job keeps me on the run. Balancing my job and my family has been a struggle for me. I work real hard so that Brayden doesn't suffer me having to go back to work. I'm pretty sure he loves going to school though. When he's been home a few days he asking me to go to school. Being an only child he enjoys playing with his friends during the day. I love my job and am so glad I get to work for the kingdom of God.

I feel silly for putting all this in a blog because most of you know it anyway but I needed to update the blog so there was something different there. I'm not even going to promise to keep it up because that's just not even possible. LOL Until next time.....Suzi

Playing Catch Up

Okay so it's been forever since I've really had an opportunity to post so now I need to play catch up. I just put in several pictures of events over the last month or so.

First we have a picture of Brayden's crash and burn in the gravel. He got a pretty good case of road rash on his face. OUCH!!!!
But that's okay because Curious George made it all better!!

Here is Brayden and his Bubba washing Bubba's car. Brayden LOVES hanging out with his big Bubba!!!! Bubba LOVES haning out with Brayden too!

Here is Nanny Norma and Brayden wearing their matching shirts! TOO CUTE!!
AWE how cute!! He LOVES to hang out with his Daddy! He's Daddy's little helper!
He thought it was so cute that he and his Daddy had on T-shirts with button up shirts over them. He was on cloud nine because he was dressed like Daddy!!
Isn't he just TOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!

I have some more pictures of our trip to the zoo. I promise to get them posted in the next day or two. Really....I will. I promise!!!!LOL Until them Brayden says......

Thursday, October 30, 2008

Okay so it is midnight and I am waiting on my electric blanket to kick in so I can go to bed and thought I would get a quick blog out. I got to see a 28:03 video of my grandson sleeping. Christopher and Kristi were pretty bummed that he slept through the whole thing but they got some good pictures of him.

Isn't he so cute!! I can't wait to hold him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On another note.....Courtnie called today and I was in a meeting. I answered as I always do just to make sure all was well and tell her I would call her back later. She very nonchalantly tells me all was well and she was pregnant. She didn't want me to hear it elsewhere because she was telling everyone but me apparently. Par for the course when it comes to Courtnie with me. So it looks like I am going to have 2 grand babies in 2009.

Okay my bed is warm and I am going to sleep now. Love to all who read my blog.

My New Job

Okay.....nobody fall down! Yes, I am finally updating my blog. Just a short update though. Well as most of you know I started a new job on Sept 22nd with Life Church. This has been very difficult for me. I have been torn about leaving my stay at home mom job. Finances won't allow me to stay at home anymore however so I had no choice. God really spoke to me about working at Life Church. I went on two previous interviews and was not chosen before I went on the third in an entirely different field of work then I've ever done before. The first two positions where accounting which is what I have always done and was not looking forward to going back to it. So looking back I am glad to not have been chosen because I LOVE what I do now. I am the LifeGroups/Missions Administrative Assistant. I feel really good about my job and I am so very blessed God put me there to do his work. If I had to go back to work I at least wanted my job to mean something and that it does. It could mean eternity for some. That's pretty stinkin' awesome if you ask me. Although Brayden loves going to school he hates being away from me and that tears my heart out. The church has staff care for its employees so I know he's in good hands. He is getting an education in a christian curriculum and has 6 other kids in his room to play with. Everyone tells me to hang tight....he will grow to love it. However it's times like these I wish it didn't take money to live! I would much rather be at home with my baby! Okay I am going for know I promise to update more often. I'll post pictures next time.

Love to all,
